The development in processing of pelagic fish has been from production of fish meal to frozen products for human consumption. This has been ongoing for the past 15 years and has called for plants with large capacities. Frost has from the beginning actively worked with its customers in designing and building efficient plants for the purpose. In fact Frost has been involved in all the major projects for freezing of pelagic fish in Iceland as well as some projects abroad.
